Seen Around Town

The Shamrock Garden Club and Town of Iva helped local residents gain an appreciation for trees at their annual Arbor Day Celebration. The event featured a proclamation by Iva Mayor Bobby Gentry, songs and poems about trees, facts about the need for and usefulness of trees, and thanksgiving for trees. Flat Rock Elementary School students sang, danced and shared an original poem about trees and Crescent FFA members planted a maple tree donated by Alvin Terry at the Iva Branch Library.

Arbor Day brought songs and readings from local residents.
